Sally was so present in today’s service- a perfect celebration of a lovely person who gave her all and in return was treasured by those she came in contact with. Love and miss you Sally 💜

I’ll be there
My friend since we were 4 yrs old. By 8 years old we were travelling up and down the Southport line to visit one another’s houses and continued a wonderful friendship throughout all these years.
Sally was so stoic in her life, her cancer and her treatment.
I hope that in time,
When I think of your face
It’s filled with a smile
And beauty, and Grace
And of all your wonderful qualities.
Caring and kind
Thoughtful and funny
And a laugh that lit up the room
We’re never got bored with tales retold, the life of the Seafield six
So we will remember,
always remember
Those eyes
That chuckle
Your face

I will be attending my dear friend Sally’s funeral on Monday. Having met Sally on 4th January 2024 as we both started nurse training I have been so incredibly fortunate to have had her in my life as a friend, confidante & a source of strong personal support through out that time.
Her bravery during her fight against cancer was unsurprising, & while knowing Sally has finally been released from all the pain that entailed & is now free from her suffering is something to be grateful for. Yet the loss of Sally from my life will leave an unquantifiable hole in my life although I know that the loss & impact for Andy, James, Mark & their families will far exceed the grief & impact on myself. I hope the knowledge of the enduring love & pride Sally had for her family will provide some comfort at this time as they craft their futures without Sally walking alongside them.
